Community Guidelines

Our mission is to support inclusive, equitable, and groundbreaking innovation and entrepreneurship in North Carolina — by providing an invaluable community.

So we’ve created a set of basic policies that we expect all members of that community to abide by.

No Hate Speech or Bullying

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

Promotions and Spam

Promoting a business in the correct channels for the purpose of connecting what maybe a mutual beneficial relationship is acceptable. Example: A person asks specifically for information regarding tax lawyers. Acceptable: An attorney offers their services. Not acceptable: You offer your services in insurance. This would be considered spam.

Spam is not tolerated. Spam is unsolicited commercial messages that do not directly benefit community members for that discussion. Example: You post an advertisement about your shoe business in a channel discussing accounting.

Respect Each Other

We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

Privacy

Genuine discussions staying on topic can make a great group. Treat others with the respect. Be mindful about using direct messaging.

Political Relevance

Only direct, currently affecting political discussion pertaining to specific needs of businesses will be tolerated. Example 1: The state is going to vote on changing the annual fee for LLCs. Example 2: Purposed zoning changes could affect your business negatively.
